TISSUE AND ITS TYPES (Animal)
General Science | Easy Learn |
Tissues
are groups of connected cells. Many tissues are made entirely from one type of
cell. For example, skin, fat, or heart muscle. Blood is also tissue in liquid
form. The hardest tissue in the human body is tooth enamel.
Types of Tissue
There
are four main types of tissue in the human body. These are connective,
epithelial, muscular, and nervous tissue.
Connective Tissue |
1. Connective
Tissue: This type of tissue acts as a glue in the body. It is a
dense tissue. It fills the space between the other tissues and organs and helps
in binding them together. For example, adipose tissue (fat), bone, and blood.
Muscular Tissue |
2. Muscular
Tissue: This type of tissue is made of long and thin cells. It
helps to relax and contract to allow muscles to move bones. It also helps
sustain blood pressure and carry food through the digestive system.
Epithelial Tissue |
3.
Epithelial Tissue: This type of tissue is made up of three main
shapes of the cell. This tissue lines and covers surfaces inside and outside
the body. It forms, skin, and the lining of the body cavities such as the gut
and lungs.
Nervous Tissue |
4.
Nervous Tissue: The nervous tissue is created by large
groups of nerve cells. This form the brain, spinal cord, and masses of nerves
that work together in the nervous system, the body’s high-speed communication
network
